Post-pandemic attitudes to flexible working
Nearly four years have now passed since the UK 昀椀rst
went into lockdown in March 2020 due to the Covid-19
pandemic. Many organisations handled the crisis
well, pivoting their policies and processes quickly
to allow staff to continue working safely from home.
Remote working became the ‘new normal’, but has
this led to a permanent step-change in attitudes
towards 昀氀exible working?
A recent nationwide Hays study across 21 industries
found that more employees are now working fully
from the of昀椀ce (43%) than via a hybrid model (39%)
for the 昀椀rst time since before the pandemic.
